My overall strengths in this project were editing the photos and taking them. Some improvements I could’ve made were making the lighting better when I was taking the pictures and fixing the focus. Things I learned about lighting patterns were even if the model/subject is in one pose different lighting patterns can really change the pictures and give them different moods. Photographing an egg prepared me to photograph a classmate by being able to learn how to set up the light in the right positions and how to pose the model. The labs were similar by taking the pictures I had to keep the camera in one position and the model in one position and I only had to move the lighting. They were different because I was actually able to talk to my model and group and guide them, but with the egg, it stayed there and didn’t move. Lighting is important for a photographer to understand because it can give one simple photo more life and character and even give it different moods. I will incorporate lighting in my photos in the future to help give them more life and character.
